The drones hovering over the Russian fleet near Sevastopol in the early hours of Saturday had far more impact than the destruction they inflicted on the ships.
“Russia is blackmailing with global famine” as Moscow torpedoing grain deal.
“It’s just outrageous. There was no reason to do that,” US President Joe Biden said. According to the US, Russia is heading toward a global famine and is using food as a weapon. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken argues that Russia is holding back low- and middle-income countries and pushing global food prices.
The same voice can be heard from Ukrainian President Zelensky, who accuses Russia of organizing worldwide “hunger games” (“hunger games” after the books and films of the same name). They react to Russia’s announcement to withdraw from the grain agreement with Ukraine immediately.
The Russian ambassador in Washington called the comments of Biden and co “out of the pot”. “We have not yet seen anything that points to a condemnation of the regime’s reckless actions in Kyiv,” he said. Russia accuses Kyiv of a terror attack with drones on a grain fleet in Sevastopol. Moscow said that the decision to suspend the grain deal directly resulted from that attack.
