Twitter this week suspended several accounts for the purpose of posting messages from Donald Trump.
The former US president himself was permanently banned from his medium of choice in January.
On Thursday, the social network confirmed that it took action against these accounts after it was reported in American media. These are accounts that published messages from Trump’s blog ‘From the desk’.
“As specified in our policy, we take action against accounts that intend to promote content associated with a suspended account,” Twitter said.
Trump was permanently banned from Twitter earlier this year for encouraging the Capitol’s invasion, where the Senate was meeting to approve Joe Biden’s election victory officially.
