Twitter Will Delete Accounts That Have Been Inactive for Six Months

Twitter will remove inactive users from 11 December. For that reason, some older usernames will likely be released eventually.

 

They are profiles who have not been logged in for over 6 months. Twitter emails customers beforehand with the alert their accounts are in danger of disappearing. Those who wish to keep these should sign in and acknowledge the latest terms of use. It is actually therefore not mandatory to also tweet yourself to keep your bank account active.

Twitter points out that it will gradually remove inactive balances. Because of this, their tweets also go away, and they also no longer add up as supporters with some other profiles.

For profiles of deceased persons, the company is thinking about a kind of Memoriam in which the tweets of the person can be preserved, but exactly how exactly that will work is not really yet clear.
