After eight months in preview, AWS is officially making its quantum computing cloud available. The service mainly runs through partners.
Amazon launched a preview of a quantum technology test environment under the name Braket in early December. That service is now officially launched.
To be clear, it is still a learning environment rather than a full-fledged production environment. Still, it allows users to use a set of predetermined quantum algorithms or deploy their own algorithms.
Afterwards, they can be tested on hardware. Amazon does not have any quantum computers of its own but offers the service through partnerships with D-Wave, LonQ and Rigett.
AWS currently only offers Bracket in its US regions, specifically US East (Virginia) and US West (Oregon and California).
