The floods that have ravaged Turkey and the capital Ankara in particular since Saturday have already killed four people. A fifth person has been reported missing. More rain is expected on Monday, Turkish media write.

Three bodies were found in Ankara province. Emergency services are still looking for one missing person. Someone has also been killed in Karaman, local news reports say.

Heavy rain showers and even hail showers lashed the north and centre of the country on Saturday and Sunday. They caused damage in several villages.

Eight towns in Kastamonu province are still inaccessible on Monday due to road subsidence caused by the flooding. Code yellow or code orange still applies in 42 cities in the north and centre of Turkey. Schools remain closed in Ankara and Gemerek.
