The European Union may have to pay more than 10 billion euros for the hundreds of millions of corona vaccines from pharmaceuticals Pfizer and BioNTech.
News agency Reuters reports on the basis of insiders that the makers of the vaccine and Brussels have agreed on a price per dose of 15.50 euros.
The corona vaccine from the American Pfizer and the German BioNTtech may be approved by US and European drug authorities in mid-December.
The vaccine is said to be 95 percent effective in combating Covid-19.
A spokesman for the European Commission declined to comment on the terms and conditions and pricing against Reuters. Pharmacists also refused to respond.
