Iranian General Killed in US Rocket Attack in Baghdad, US calls on Civilians to Leave Iraq

The American and Israeli governments, among others, are already anticipating the consequences of the American rocket attack in Baghdad, in which the Iranian general Qassem Soleimani was killed.

Different countries are calling on their citizens to leave the country. In Iran, since the news announced, “revenge” has been used.

The Pentagon has confirmed that US President Donald Trump has ordered the killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleiman. He died in a rocket attack at Baghdad airport.

A total of at least eight people killed when three missiles hit a convoy of the Shiite al-Hashd al-Shaabi group near the air cargo area of Baghdad International Airport.

Soleimani is one of the fatalities. But also the number two of al-Hashd al-Shaabi, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, died in the rocket attack, just like four other members of the militia.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has confirmed the death of Soleiman. He was one of the most distinguished generals of the Iranian army and was responsible for the elite forces.

The militia speaks of an “American attack”, and meanwhile the Pentagon has confirmed that the US is behind the attack.

“On behalf of the president, the US military has taken decisive, defensive measures to protect US personnel abroad by killing Qassem Soleimani,” the US Department of Defense said in a statement. Trump already tweeted a photo of the American flag without commenting.
