A Lithuanian participant in the Olympic Games has tested positive for the coronavirus. That happened in Hiratsuka, west of Tokyo.
A member of the Israeli sports delegation was also tested positive upon arrival at Haneda Airport in Tokyo. Japanese media report that without giving further details.
All athletes and coaches will be tested upon arrival in Japan. A Ugandan athlete and a coach from that country also tested positive last month, as did a Serbian athlete this month.

“Please stay home this Olympics and share that excitement with families at home,” he said at a news conference.
