Japan Does Not Allow Spectators At All in Tokyo At Games

Japan Does Not Allow Spectators At All in Tokyo At Games. The Olympic Games will be played in Tokyo without spectators.

The organizing committee, in consultation with the Japanese government and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), has decided not to allow an audience at all at the sports venues in the capital due to corona concerns.

“I’m sorry to everyone who bought tickets,” said the organization’s president Seiko Hashimoto. However, those parties already decided in March not to allow foreign sports fans to enter Japan during the Games.

The intention was that residents of Japan were allowed to visit the Games, with a maximum of 10,000 visitors per stadium.

Doctors and other medical experts have said in recent weeks it would be better for the pressure on the health care system not to allow fans at all.
