WhatsApp Test Report For Suspicious Links In Conversations

WhatsApp test Report for suspicious Links in Conversations.WhatsApp is working on a new function that can label shared links in conversations as suspicious.

WABetaInfo found the test in a new beta version of message app WhatsApp.

The Suspicious Link Detection, as the function is currently called, has to prevent the opening of spam links. WhatsApp reviews whether a URL leads to a suspicious or alternative website.

If that is the case, the message should be marked with a red label. The user can still open the link, but there is first a message in which the suspicious link is pointed out.

WABetaInfo writes that the links on the device itself are analysed. No information sent to WhatsApp servers.

What is suspicious for links is not clear? Whether and when the function in WhatsApp is also unclear.

At the beginning of July, WhatsApp released a new function, with which only managers of group chats could send messages.
