75-Year-Old Activist in the US Injured After A Push From Police

Two agents in Buffalo, New York, have been suspended after a video surfaced on social media showing them knocking over an elderly protesting man during a demonstration against police brutality and racism.

The 75-year-old protester was injured and taken to a hospital, Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said Thursday (local time).

The images show that the man remains motionless on the ground after the push and that a pool of blood forms on his head.

Mayor Brown said on Twitter that he was “very concerned” by the video and that a police investigation has been launched.

According to Brown, the victim is in a “stable but serious condition”. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo called the incident “completely unjustified and utterly disgraceful.”
