In Germany, 4325, new corona infections were registered in the past 24 hours. That is considerably less than on Sunday when the lung virus was diagnosed in 5587 Germans.
For the second day in a row, the number of new infections has decreased significantly. This is evident from figures from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the German equivalent of the RIVM.
On Saturday, a record number of inhabitants was infected, namely 7,830. On Thursday and Friday, the number of newly infected people rose sharply, with 6,638 and 7,334 cases, respectively.
Those were also records. The total number of diagnosed corona cases in Germany comes to 366,299 after the announcement of the RKI on Monday.
With twelve Covid patients succumbed to the lung virus in the last 24 hours, the official death toll comes to 9789.
