In Russia, 8915 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the past 24 hours. That is slightly less than the 8,946 new cases reported on Monday.
The total number of Russians found to have contracted the lung virus thus amounts to 362,342.
In the last 24 hours, the number of deceased corona patients rose by 174, almost doubling the 92 deaths reported Monday.
This brings the total death toll to 3807.
Regarding registered infections, Russia is the third hardest-hit country in the world, after the United States and Brazil.
Relatively, however, there are few deaths from the coronavirus. In that respect, according to the website Worldometer, the country is in 17th place.
