Instagram Confirms Users that All New Messages have been Viewed

Instagram Confirms Users that All New Messages have been Viewed. Instagram lets users know from now on when they have seen all the new messages on their feed.

The message is called “You’re all caught up” in English and will appear as soon as no new messages can be shown. This includes all messages that have not passed the feed in the 48 hours before.

The new function is part of the plans of parent company Facebook to discourage excessive use of its social networks.

Instead, the tech giant wants users to experience the time they spend on Facebook, for example, as more useful.

According to previous rumours, both Facebook and Instagram will eventually offer users the opportunity to see how much time they consume on the platforms. Also ‘do not disturb’ options are reportedly added.
