The supply of Western armoured vehicles and other weapons will only prolong the suffering of the Ukrainians and change nothing. This is how the Kremlin reacts to the announced deliveries.
“Europe, NATO, and the United States have already injected tens of billions of dollars into Ukraine and arms supplies,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. “Fundamentally, these deliveries cannot and will not change anything. On the contrary, these supplies will only prolong the suffering of the Ukrainian people,” he said.
The United States last week announced a new shipment of more than $3 billion in military aid to Ukraine, containing 50 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and dozens of other armoured vehicles.
Germany announced that it would send 40 Marder armoured vehicles to Ukraine and a Patriot anti-aircraft system. And France had previously announced that it would send an unknown number of AMX-10 RC armoured reconnaissance vehicles to Ukraine.
