Luxury hotel Chedi Andermatt will accept digital coins as a means of payment. As a result, a stay at the hotel in the Swiss Alps can be settled with bitcoin or ethereum.
Later on, it may also be possible to pay with other crypto coins.
An overnight stay in the five-star hotel in the village of Andermatt can cost thousands of euros. Payments in crypto coins are immediately converted into Swiss francs by the hotel, the company said.
A bitcoin was worth more than 47,000 dollars (about 40,000 euros) on Friday around noon. Ethereum traded for more than $3,000.
