The number of corona infections detected in Germany has increased by 15,332 to 687,200.
Another 154 patients died in the past 24 hours, reports the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the German counterpart of the RIVM.
The total death toll from the outbreak now stands at 11,506.
Germany has seen the number of corona cases rise again in recent weeks, as have many other European countries.
The peak came last Saturday.
Then the authorities registered 23,339 new infections in 24 hours, the highest number in one day so far.
