The Trump supporters who stormed the US parliament building in Washington on Wednesday to prevent Congress from setting the election results are “domestic terrorists,” said former presidential candidate and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The former first lady states on Twitter that the culprits should be brought to trial.
“Today, domestic terrorists have attacked the very foundation of our democracy: the peaceful transfer of power after free elections,” said Clinton, who went up against Donald Trump in the 2016 election.
Our leaders must live up to their responsibility to protect it.”
