The conversations from the app are moved to messages in the regular Instagram app.
It is not known when the app can no longer be used.
The app was announced in 2017 and has since been tested in many countries.
The app was never officially released.
Instagram has not declared why it will take the app offline.
Earlier Facebook stated that it would also stop using the Bonfire video group call app.
However, Instagram and Facebook have been allowed to facilitate group video conversations.
With this, Facebook seems to need to focus on its WhatsApp and Messenger messaging services.
During the F8 developer conference of Facebook, it was declared that Messenger would get a desktop version for Windows and Mac.
